Jeddah Tower

Jeddah Tower

Overview

The project consists of building the tallest skyscraper in the world. If completed as planned, the Jeddah Tower will reach unprecedented heights becoming the first structure to reach the one-kilometer-high mark, with a designed height of 1,008 m. For construction, 500,000 m3 of concrete, and 80,000 tons of steel will be needed. The estimated cost of the tower is $1.23 billion.

ACTS scope of work includes deploying more than 50 QC technicians, and establishing one (1) fully equipped site laboratories for various material testing. Furthermore, ACTS performed NDT testing on concrete piles, and steel welding NDT, in addition to conducting a concrete mix design optimization, which proved to be a crucial step in enhancing the workability of the concrete during casting. In this project, ACTS implemented the Web Based software which gave the client a real time access to reports and laboratory results. The estimated total value of performed and on-going services is $10 M.

The construction phase started on 2013, and the expected date of completion is in 2020.
